Samar Gorillas, a rare and elusive species of primate, are on the brink of extinction due to habitat loss and poaching. In Brgy. Cervantes, Northern Samar, local conservationists and scientists are working tirelessly to protect and preserve the remaining population of Samar Gorillas, in hopes of ensuring their survival for generations to come.
